Dr. Hong He, DDS

Dr. He graduated from the UCSF School of Dentistry with a DDS in 2004 and worked four years as an associate in a private practice before opening her own office in Cupertino in 2008. Her training also includes a PhD in dentistry, specializing in orthodontics, from Beijing Medical University School of Dentistry (1999), and continuing education in orthodontics from the United States Dental Institutes. She is an Invisalign Preferred Provider and keeps up with new techniques through regular seminars and conferences.

What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit includes a thorough medical and dental history, a comprehensive oral evaluation, and a consultation with Dr. Hong He. Afterwards the findings and treatment recommendations are discussed with you, and treatment is scheduled according to your needs.
Can I fill in the new-patient forms before I come?
Yes. You are asked to complete a medical history form at your first visit, and the office can also email the forms to you so you can fill them in beforehand.
Which insurance plans do you work with?
The practice lists Delta Dental, MetLife, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, Guardian, Humana, Liberty, Principal, UnitedHealthcare and United Concordia. Give the office your insurance information so it can verify your benefits, and call to confirm your specific plan.
Do you offer braces or Invisalign?
Yes. Dr. He has a background in orthodontics and is an Invisalign Preferred Provider. The office offers a free orthodontic consultation, early preventive and interceptive treatment for children, and comprehensive treatment for children and adults.
At what age should my child have an orthodontic evaluation?
No later than age 7. Bite problems often become noticeable between ages 6 and 12 as the permanent teeth come in, and treatment that begins while a child is growing helps produce the best results.
